Giving The Shirts Off Our Backs

For the past 7 years, it has been our pleasure to donate shirts to Camp Horizon. Camp Horizon is a place where children go for one week to escape troubled home lives. Most of these kids have either been abused or lived in homes of neglect. The staff at Camp Horizon try to teach these kids compassion and love. Because of the sacrifice the staff of Camp Horizon makes for each of the children, we consider it an honor to be associated with such an organization. Coca-Cola Floats, Apple Pie, Flags and D

Yes it is an unusual combination, but it was just some of the components for our Flag Day kit that we put together for Cousins Properties to give to their commercial real estate brokers. We had Cross Canvas make a custom/one-of-a-kind American flag coolers. We then stocked it full of Blue Bell Ice Cream, Coca-Cola and an Apple Pie. But it wouldn't be flag day, without an American flag so we put a 3' x 5' flag on top. With it being June in the South and temps over 90 degrees, our only option was to use Dry Ice to keep the ice cream from melting. We put everything together in the morning and shortly after the couriers arrived to deliver all 25 kits. The project was a complete success and another opportunity to show off our creativity.
